Former Steadfast operations chief joins Marsh
Noelene Palmer has joined Marsh Risk as Pacific COO, the global broker announced this morning.
Ms Palmer was previously Steadfast COO, but she left the broking group in November as the role was made redundant.
At Marsh, she takes over from Gary Shlom, who was recently made international placement operations leader.
The broker says Ms Palmer will “lead efforts to enhance operational excellence and strengthen our core systems, ensuring we consistently deliver the highest standards of service and value to our clients. Her leadership will reinforce Marsh’s commitment to accountability and continuous improvement, helping us elevate the way we deliver our very best to clients.
“With over 20 years of ... experience across Asia and the Pacific in operations, strategy, claims management, risk management and governance, Noelene brings valuable expertise to our team.”
Ms Palmer says she looks forward to “supporting our teams in providing clients with consistent, high-quality services, enhanced by digital solutions and global best practices”.
Her predecessor Mr Shlom will remain in Sydney for his new role.
“Gary has been with Marsh for nearly 30 years … Throughout his long tenure, he has worked across a range of functions, building a deep understanding of operations, insurance broking and risk technologies,” Pacific president Damian Schinck said last month in note to staff.
He says Mr Shlom has made “significant contributions to our region, with his leadership playing a key role in the success of operations and technology in the Pacific. Personally, I’m excited to see Gary take on this new role and pleased that he will remain based in our Sydney office.”
