Howden buys FNQ broker
Howden has struck a deal to acquire the Cairns division of broking group CorpSure, which it says will strengthen its presence in the region and its broader Pacific operations.
CorpSure Cairns was established in 2017 by Amanda Bryant and Justin Williams, who will remain at the company, and offers coverage to corporate, commercial and SME clients.
The broker says it has more than 600 real estate offices insured and holds an exclusive business policy underwritten by Lloyd’s.
“We felt there was a natural fit for CorpSure Cairns within Howden and see a lot of synergy between the businesses,” Mr Williams said. “This partnership strengthens our ability to grow, particularly in Far North Queensland, while continuing to build long-term relationships through delivering outstanding client service.”
Howden says its Queensland corporate risk head Grant Rovelli will work with the acquired broker to accelerate growth and support access to the parent’s global resources.
“We are thrilled to welcome CorpSure Cairns to the Howden family,” Howden Pacific CEO Matt Bacon said.
“Along with their specialist knowledge and local expertise, which perfectly complement our existing business, we share the same values – a commitment to putting people first, building long-term relationships and delivering client-centric solutions.”
CorpSure also has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast that are not part of the acquisition.
