Proclaim, DWF name leadership team

DWF and Proclaim have a new leadership structure for their combined Australian claims management business.

Richard Thomas, who has led business development and client relationships, steps into a broader role as head of territory. Maria Rosman becomes head of claims and Andrea Mulchrone has been appointed head of operations.

Ms Rosman, previously head of liability, has management responsibility across all fee-producing teams including accident and health, property and professional liability.

Ms Mulchrone, who has led DWF’s Australian claims management and adjusting business for more than seven years, assumes responsibility for all operational elements of the combined claims business.

Jo Carrazzo continues as head of finance and Jacqui Steffen remains head of professional liability while taking on a broader role as deputy head of claims.

Legal and claims service provider DWF acquired Proclaim in September 2024. The businesses operated with separate Australian financial services licences until early last month, when both were brought under the Proclaim licence.

The combined claims business has more than 90 professionals serving underwriters and corporates, alongside more than 150 personnel in DWF’s Australian law firm.

Jon Broome, who has led Proclaim for 27 years, is stepping back from his full-time executive role but will continue until September as an adviser and mentor.

“Proclaim has always been defined by its people and its culture,” Mr Broome said. “I’m proud of what we’ve built over 27 years and confident that this leadership team will continue to grow the business while preserving the values that matter most to our clients.”

Justin Harty, operations director for 26 years, will remain full-time until September, working closely with Ms Mulchrone and supporting the continued integration of the Proclaim and DWF platforms.

The executive changes took effect at the start of the month.
