Seven up for Vero as Gold Mansfield run continues
Vero extended a winning streak at the Mansfield Awards as the event celebrating claims excellence marked its 10th year last night.
The insurer took the Gold Mansfield for the seventh year in a row and won the SME property claims category for a sixth straight year.
Commercial and personal injury CEO Lisa Harrison says the success reflects Vero’s investment in the customer and broker claims experience.
“We know that claims experience is the true test of the promise our customers purchase, so to be acknowledged for claims excellence for a seventh straight year, is testament to delivering on that promise consistently,” she said.
“With broker surveys being part of the judging process, the win is even more meaningful.”
Vero parent Suncorp took out the personal lines category.
The corporate property and casualty award winners were FM and Zurich Australia, and the specialty lines category was won by EBM RentCover.
The new travel insurance award was taken out by PassportCard.
Awards recognising broker claims teams and loss adjusters were also introduced, with MGA Insurance Brokers and Jon Stagg from Crawford & Co the respective winners.
LMI Group executive chairman and awards founder Allan Manning says the new categories recognise “the great work that others within the industry, but not working for an insurer, perform that do so much to help the insuring public in their hour of need”.
A new claims lifetime achievement award was presented to Barry Simpson from Charles Taylor and the Purple Mansfield for going above and beyond went to Hanna Safak from Allianz.
The non-profit event in support of the Amal Mulia Orphanage for children with special needs was sponsored by Envest, Johns Lyng Group, Munich Re, Ignite Fire Investigations and LMI. It was held at the Establishment Ballroom in Sydney.
“The night was dedicated to two exceptional professionals that sadly left us this year, Tim Wedlock and Max Salveson, and whose great contributions to the industry will live on,” Dr Manning said.
