Tower names new claims chief
Tower head of claims experience and transformation Dan Walker has been made chief claims officer.
Mr Walker began his previous role when he joined the New Zealand insurer in December, and CEO Paul Johnston says he has “reshaped the function’s operating model and delivered significant improvements in customer service”.
Before joining Tower, Mr Walker was COO of New Zealand life and health insurer Partners Life.
Tower says he will now lead the claims function, focusing on delivering the “right outcomes” for customers while driving digital transformation and lifting service, efficiency and performance.
Former chief claims officer Steve Wilson left the company earlier this year to return to Australia.
“Steve oversaw significant digital investment resulting in improvements to the customer journey and leaves a strong foundation for the next step in our claims transformation,” Mr Johnston said.
