Zurich will adopt the UnderwriteMe Claims Engine in Australia as it expands its use of automation.

The two companies say it is the first implementation of the tool here and makes Zurich the first Australian life insurer to have end-to-end underwriting and claims decisions on a single technology platform.

Zurich already uses the insurtech’s Underwriting Engine and Decision Studio and says the claims tool will streamline processes and improve consistency in case handling.

Claims teams can configure with minimal reliance on IT resources and will gain greater data and insights, it says.
