AI tool promises faster crash repair quotes
Smash repair insurtech DingGo says its Crash Intelligence AI platform turns “a handful of vehicle photos” into an instant, accurate repair estimate.
The tool, trained on a data set of hundreds of thousands of completed Australian repairs, calculates what work will cost based on past jobs.
DingGo CEO Shaun Janks says car dealer principals and service managers have had no fast, reliable way to price damage, which remains a largely “manual and opaque” process.
“By the time a quote comes back from a third party, the customer is gone – and the [profit] margin goes with them,” he said.
“Crash Intelligence puts the answer in their hands before the car leaves the site.”
Crash Intelligence is available now to car dealer groups, independent repairers and panel shops across Australia.
