DingGo fast-tracks car hire crash quotes
Crash management technology company DingGo has partnered with car subscription service Carbar Australia.
DingGo’s AI-powered Crash Intelligence tool will be used to ease the process when a rental car is returned damaged, when pricing a repair can take days and disputes become more likely, the pair say.
DingGo says Crash Intelligence draws on eight years of Australian repair data – including thousands of damage photos, quotes and completed repairs – to instantly calculate repair costs.
It says the quotes have 90% accuracy for common damage such as scratches, dents and minor collisions.
“Damage at vehicle return has always been a sensitive conversation, and the longer it takes to price, the harder that conversation becomes,” Carbar CEO Desmond Hang said.
“By partnering with DingGo, we can streamline the process, and our team can show customers an independent repair estimate before they leave, so everyone is working from the same fair, transparent number.”
The partnership extends DingGo’s reach beyond fleet management and insurance, and into the rental and subscription sector.
