Guidewire will host this year’s InsurPitch contest in Sydney on August 5.

Insurtechs operating in Australia will compete to win a trip to showcase their work at the Guidewire Connections conference in Las Vegas in October.

They will also be eligible to join the Guidewire Vanguards program, which has helped past entrants secure funding, partnerships and general insurance customers.

Participants produce a 90-second video outlining their insurtech solution and the business problem it addresses. Guidewire will select five to pitch live to an audience and panel of judges at The Mint.

The InsurPitch series also includes events in Dublin, Toronto, Las Vegas and London.

In 2024, more than 20 companies entered in Sydney, where Brisbane insurtech Codafication was crowned winner.

Codafication COO Bryn McKay says the competition has been a powerful growth catalyst. 

“This recognition has significantly enhanced our market visibility and credibility, opening doors with insurers and strengthening our value proposition to accelerate sales opportunities,” he said.
