Lloyd’s Lab seeks more industry innovators

Lloyd’s Lab is accepting applications to join its 17th cohort, which will focus on operational efficiency, new products and “experimental innovation”.

The latter category could include quantum computing and the “existential threat” to digital security, next-generation alternative risk transfer or fusion energy.

“If you have a concept that doesn’t fit neatly into the traditional insurance landscape but could redefine how the market operates in the next five to 10 years, we want to hear from you,” Lloyd’s said.

The program, which runs twice a year, offers access to mentors and potential partners and investors. Concepts can be tested with the support of experts from the London market.

Applications close on July 20. Shortlisted teams, to be revealed on August 7, will pitch their ideas on September 10, and the 10-week program starts on September 28.

Successful teams will showcase their progress at Demo Day on December 9.
