Travel platform ‘monetises post-sale behaviour’

A new group travel medical cover platform has been launched by US-based Core Travel Insurance.

The AI platform, created by Openkoda, manages embedded group travel medical insurance, incorporating real-time access for organisations, their insured travellers and brokers.

It supports policy management and broker and client portals, and travellers can review cover and add customised enhancements, with upgrades tailored to itineraries to calculate the right cost for each option.

Cover options include trip cancellation/interruption with optional add-ons such as higher limits, and baggage, travel delay and trip extension protection.

Core Travel CEO Fiona Lally says the platform took only eight weeks to create and that it “monetises post-sale traveller behaviour”.

“We needed a solution that paired excellent group travel insurance with our patented, scalable model for personalised traveller upgrades, and smooth migration of our existing clients,” she said.

Upgrades generate returns for brokers and insurers that “far exceed” standard group travel insurance premiums, Core Travel says.

“The platform can provide strong income generation for brokers and accommodate the full range of business clients with millions of insured travellers,” it said.

Openkoda CEO Arkadiusz Drysch says AI platforms can reduce delivery time, strengthen reporting and help insurers bring differentiated digital products to market faster.
