Weatherwatch ‘expands reach’ with US platform link

US company EigenRisk will now feature Brisbane-based Weatherwatch’s hail event footprints on its catastrophe risk management platform.

Weatherwatch offers forecasting and alert mapping solution HailTracker, and advanced weather forecasting system MetCentre.

“By integrating ... into the EigenPrism platform we’re able to expand our reach across the global insurance industry,” Weatherwatch MD Anthony Cornelius said.

“The platform enhances our ability to deliver timely and actionable insights to help clients in all sectors prepare for and respond to catastrophic and severe weather events with greater speed and precision.”

Weatherwatch meteorologists use technology to deliver enhanced forecasts, applying advanced forecasting and modelling techniques to all available data.

EigenRisk provides insurers, agencies, brokers and risk managers with catastrophe risk data management, geo-visualisation, analytics, reporting, modelling and alerts, plus hazard data and event simulations.

President Deepak Badoni says the partnership with Weatherwatch will give property insurers and risk managers “enhanced insights and faster response times for hail events occurring in Australia”.
