Aon names global broking centre chief
Helene Madell has been promoted to global broking centre CEO at Aon.
Ms Madell joined the intermediary group in 2018 as MD and chief broking officer for Australia, and later moved to London with the retail business.
The global broking centre provides innovative placement solutions and claims expertise, partnering with Aon teams around the world.
It also delivers Aon client treaty, which provides pre-secured Lloyd’s-backed capacity, and Aon’s data centre life cycle insurance program, a multiline solution designed to address complex, interconnected risks.
“Helene’s leadership, market perspective and deep connectivity across the industry will advance how we bring the best of Aon to clients around the world,” commercial risk CEO Christian Hoffman said.
“Helene has a strong track record of building high-performing teams and delivering data-driven solutions that help clients make better decisions.”
Meanwhile, London-based Steve Dando has been promoted to chief broking officer at the global broking centre, effective next month and reporting to Ms Madell.
Before joining Aon at the start of 2024, Mr Dando was global head of broking at Ardonagh Group. He has also worked at Marsh and Howden.
