Acenda says former Westpac executive Ross Miller joined last week as group chief people and culture officer.

“Ross joins our business at an important time as we continue to shape our organisation and culture following the establishment of the Acenda Group,” CEO Chris de Bruin said.

Mr Miller “brings deep experience in financial services, and I am confident his leadership will strengthen the development of our people experience and culture as we work towards becoming one of Australia’s leading life insurers”.

Mr Miller left Westpac last September after a 25-year career with the bank, according to his LinkedIn.

In a post on the social media site, he said: “Acenda is at an important point in its journey following the merger of Acenda Life and Resolution Life Australasia, with a clear long-term ambition to build a leading life insurance business that delivers confidence and better outcomes for customers.

“I’m looking forward to working with Chris … and the Acenda Group leadership team to support that ambition by building a strong, people-centred culture across the group.”
