The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority is finalising updates to three life insurer reporting standards following a consultation.

The standards required companies to submit data to the authority via Direct to APRA, which was decommissioned earlier this year after a routine penetration test found security vulnerabilities.

APRA says the changes will provide a single reporting platform – APRA Connect.

The revised standards will apply to reporting periods ending on or after December 31 2026.
