FSC hands out industry awards

The Financial Services Council of New Zealand named the winners of its annual excellence awards last week.

Insurtech Simfuni won the innovation category for its technology that transforms legacy insurance systems with a modern, cloud-based platform, and Partners Life won the wellbeing and inclusion award.

Simfuni said on LinkedIn: “We’re incredibly proud of this win. It’s further validation that our customer-centric payments and policy administration software is delivering real value to insurers and their customers.”

Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand’s former CEO Gail Costa won the chair award for service to the industry.

FSC CEO Kirk Hope says a “thriving, robust and sustainable financial services sector is vital for New Zealand’s future. It is essential we recognise and celebrate the people and organisations who drive the industry forward, helping to grow New Zealanders’ financial confidence and wellbeing.”

The other award winners were:

  • Workplace savings: Alan Langford and John Crossman
  • Contribution to community: Good Shepherd New Zealand for its family violence economic harm service
  • Excellence in ESG: ANZ New Zealand
  • Team of the year: the adviser learning transformation team at Southern Cross Health Insurance 
  • Emerging trailblazer: Anita Los’e of Fidelity Life
