MetLife hails faster underwriting outcomes

MetLife Australia says it has improved turnaround times over the past year after changing its underwriting processes.

It has expanded the use of phone-based medical reports, enabling faster access to relevant health information.

“This both reduces the burden on healthcare providers and supports more informed and timely underwriting decisions, giving advisers and their clients a hassle-free experience,” MetLife said.

It adds its new underwriting engine has also helped the decision-making process.
