New adviser aims to plug protection gap

Property-focused InvestorKit Group has expanded into insurance with the launch of Solace Life.

Solace offers income protection, trauma, life, and total and permanent disability insurance advice and is licensed through Nexa Life Solutions.

At present, it has one insurance adviser and one insurance associate.

MD Chris Seneviratne says many Australians either lack adequate cover or do not fully understand what they hold.

“Our focus is on guiding clients about insurance solutions and helping them make informed decisions about protection needs,” he said.

Mr Seneviratne says Solace Life’s target markets include self-managed super fund trustees and property investors.

“We work predominantly with professionals in this space, offering services in the property sector and across the broader professional market,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“This includes mortgage brokers, accountants, self-managed super fund providers, and other finance professionals keen to offer a protection model for their clients.”

Mr Seneviratne was a senior risk adviser with Profile Financial Services until last year. Before that, he worked at Steadfast Life from 2020 to 2024, according to his LinkedIn.

InvestorKit CEO and head of research Arjun Paliwal says financial wellbeing goes beyond wealth accumulation. “Protection is a critical piece that is often overlooked, and that gap is what we are addressing with Solace Life,” he said.
