NZ advice body to hold policy summit

Financial Advice New Zealand’s first Advice Policy Summit will be held on July 28 in Auckland.

The conference runs in conjunction with FANZ hosting the Financial Planning Standards Board Asia-Pacific Forum, which will be attended by CEOs and leaders from the region and the US.

FANZ says the Advice Policy Summit is focused on “turning theory into practice and tackling the issues that are holding back good advice outcomes.

“There is real value in learning from other markets by understanding what worked, what did not and how to avoid the unintended consequences of getting the policy and regulatory settings wrong.

“There is also an extraordinary opportunity to improve public awareness of the transformative value of quality financial advice.”
