NZ advisers open annual awards

Nominations have opened for this year’s Financial Advice New Zealand Awards.

Honours are available across three categories: the financial capability advocate award for efforts to improve financial education; the community impact award; and an individual lifetime achievement award.

Last year’s lifetime achievement award went to former Partner’s Life MD Naomi Ballantyne for a more than four-decade career in insurance and financial advice.

Financial Advice NZ CEO Nick Hakes says the awards celebrate people “who are leading with integrity, professionalism and a clear commitment to improving the financial and emotional wellbeing of New Zealanders.

“Great advice builds confidence, resilience and long-term financial wellbeing. The individuals and organisations we recognise through these awards are helping increase trust in the profession and shape what modern financial advice looks like in practice.”

Nominations close on March 8, with winners to be announced at the National Adviser Conference at the Aotea Centre in Auckland on March 26.
