Study to show where industry leaders ‘are placing their bets’
Consultancy The Bridge International has launched this year’s Heartbeat general insurance survey, in partnership with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Insurance professionals can respond until November 27, and anonymised results will be shared with participants and ANZIIF members.
The study tracks how industry opportunities, threats and talent risks reported a year ago have shifted.
The Bridge executive chair Stuart Blake says it gives insight on where leaders “are placing their bets” amid rising investment in technology, regulatory demands, changing customer expectations, consolidation and intensifying competition.
“As everyone races to transform to remain competitive, our Heartbeat of Insurance reveals the focus areas, investment, energy and ... priorities shaping the industry’s next chapter,” he said.
The poll asks whether AI is making roles easier and more fulfilling, where automation is used in claims, underwriting and customer service, and how much the industry expects it to reshape the workforce. It also explores the talent pipeline and hybrid work practices.
The Bridge has held the Heartbeat survey for several years, partnering with ANZIIF for the first time last year.
ANZIIF CEO Katrina Shanks says the study gives members “a clear view of where capability and talent risks sit. We saw a great deal of value and expect an even stronger response this year.”
Findings will be shared at the ANZIIF International Insurance Summit in February.
