Ausure celebrates three decades in business
The Ausure network marked its 30-year anniversary with a three-day conference in Sydney attended by almost 300 representatives, staff and industry partners.
The leadership team of Troy Brown, Scott McCarthy and Graeme Lilley reflected on the early days, under founder Wayne Brown, through to becoming a national network.
“The 2026 conference was a meaningful reflection on the relationships, integrity and shared commitment that have shaped our network since Wayne founded it in 1996,” Ausure said.
“We are excited for the next chapter – continuing to work alongside our authorised representatives and supporting their journey as they grow, evolve and thrive.”
A welcome dinner was sponsored by Chubb and QBE Qnect, and the conference ended with a sunset cocktail cruise in Darling Harbour, sponsored by Allianz and Zurich.
An awards gala dinner was sponsored by NTI.
The new Wayne Brown Award was presented by Mr Brown to Gaye Legudi. The prize recognises someone who “consistently gives it a fair go and demonstrates passion”.
The fastest-growing branch award, sponsored by Lion Underwriting, went to Bridgewise Insurance Brokers, and the young achiever winner was Will Bird from Insure 247 Australia.
The Mike Dunn Insurer of the Year Award went to Allianz, underwriting agency of the year was Market Lane Insurance Group, and the Jim McIlveen Award of Excellence went to Ausure Burleigh Heads.
QBE invited delegates to “shoot for a cause” – with every netball thrown into a hoop contributing funds to Ausure-backed charity RizeUp. The contest raised $3000.
The conference also featured presentations from Allianz, NTI, Arteva Funding, Chubb, Attvest, Dual, Elantis, Steadfast, Market Lane, IQumulate and CGU.
Zurich presented a session with AFLW star Ellie Blackburn and Tackle Your Feelings program manager Adam Baldwin, who explored high performance and mental health.
