Delta’s Sunrise move ‘meets brokers where they want to trade’

Delta Insurance is offering cover on Ebix Australia’s Sunrise Exchange for the first time.

The underwriting agency’s cyber and management liability products have launched using Entsia’s platform and two-week accelerated Ebix accreditation process. Further products are in progress.

“The Sunrise Exchange launch aligns with Delta’s broader strategy of meeting brokers where they want to trade while continuing to deliver practical protection that reflects how SME risks actually arise,” Delta MD Hamish MacLean said.

“Brokers can access Delta’s covers quickly and seamlessly, without compromising on underwriting quality or coverage intent.”

Delta first teamed up with insurtech Entsia on business cover in New Zealand in 2023.

“This partnership has enabled us to respond quickly to broker demand, building on Delta’s internal technology leadership and our existing relationship with Entsia. The result is a familiar, easy-to-use process,” Mr MacLean said.

Ebix CEO Philip Fourie says Sunrise is “helping brokers access greater choice within their existing workflows while supporting adoption, efficiency and growth” across the market, and the Delta launch “reflects the growing demand from underwriters and brokers for efficient digital placement across financial lines”.

Ebix serves more than 670 brokerages across Australia.
