Grace buys northern Add-on, eyes strata expansion

Perth-based broker Grace Insurance will acquire Darwin’s Add Insure and plans to establish a dedicated strata team.

Grace MD Frans du Plessis says the Add Insure deal “marks a significant milestone” in the business’ national expansion strategy.

“Darwin is a unique market with specific insurance needs, and the Add Insure team brings invaluable local knowledge and strong client relationships that align perfectly with our service philosophy.”

Add Insure offers business, specialised, and personal and commercial motor solutions.

The brokerage’s CEO, Jayde Mulholland, says the new owner “will bring a rich depth of knowledge and give an extra bit of firepower to the NT. Our clients will benefit from the national resources of Grace Insurance while keeping the local faces they trust.”

Grace has offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and in February opened its first Queensland branch in Maroochydore.

It says the strata team plan reflects increasing demand for specialist advice in this area.

Mr du Plessis says strata managers and owners’ corporations are seeking brokers that “truly understand” the sector.

“Our new strata team will bring the same level of expertise and service that our SME clients have come to expect.”
