Haven adds liability to product line-up
Haven Underwriting has started offering liability cover backed by capacity from Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.
Broadform liability is one of two new products at the agency, which launched in 2024 with industrial special risk property cover.
The liability cover has a $20 million limit per policy and is aimed at five customer segments: commercial property owners; cafes, restaurants, wine bars and associated hospitality risks; accommodation such as motels; self-storage facilities; and retail businesses.
Chief underwriting officer Barnaby Williams says the response to the product’s rollout has been “very positive”.
“We launched just over three weeks ago and have seen a strong flow of opportunities since then, and have been binding policies in the run-up to end of financial year,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
He says Haven led the product’s design and development, with input and technical support from Mitsui.
“We greatly appreciate the partnership we have with our security and the expertise they bring to every engagement.”
