Hobart lunch to promote women in insurance

A lunch and networking drinks will be held next month to launch Women in Insurance Tasmania.

The National Insurance Brokers Association says the initiative recognises and connects women in financial services, and the Tasmanian committee is part of a national movement to build a “more inclusive and supportive industry”.

Committee president and Charles Taylor senior loss adjuster Kerrie Boyd will lead a discussion on leadership, resilience and career growth. On the panel are National Credit Insurance manager Prudence Chang, Strategic Insurance Services manager Joanna King, NIBA’s Heidi Schmit and Bay Building Services COO Merima Selimovic.

“Whether you’re an emerging talent, established leader or simply looking to connect with like-minded peers, this event offers valuable insights and inspiration for anyone working in or alongside the insurance sector in Tasmania,” NIBA says.

The event, open to professionals of all genders, is at Hobart’s Royal Yacht Club on September 18. Event partners are Steadfast, QBE and Elantis.
