Morrissey made AUB agencies head
AUB has appointed Denis Morrissey as underwriting agencies CEO following Angie Zissis’ retirement at the end of the last financial year.
Group CEO Mike Emmett says Mr Morrissey, co-founder of 360 Underwriting, will lead the next phase of growth for the agencies division as the company works through changes to simplify and optimise the portfolio.
“Denis brings extensive underwriting and leadership experience from 360 Underwriting and is well placed to lead the division’s next phase,” he said.
Mr Morrissey, who has more than 40 years’ experience in the Australian insurance industry, continues as chairman and MD of 360.
“I have taken on a dedicated role of CEO of AUB agencies, and 360 rolls in as part of that,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “It is business as usual from a 360 perspective.”
Mr Zissis held wider responsibilities at AUB as group head of underwriting, with his oversight including the Sura agencies and functions related to the broking business.
“I’d like to acknowledge and thank Angie Zissis, who recently retired from AUB after more than 10 years leading our Sura portfolio of agencies, and more recently establishing the new AUB agencies portfolio,” Mr Emmett said.
