NIBA Convention provides ‘unique opportunity’ for rising stars
The next generation of leaders can attend a tailored program of professional development opportunities at the upcoming National Insurance Brokers Association conference.
Dedicated sessions for young professionals are a first for this year’s convention, on the Gold Coast from October 18.
Association CEO Richard Klipin says the Future of Broking Takes Centre Stage program features three specially curated events.
“NIBA’s Data to Direction research notes the depth of talent already shaping our profession’s future,” he said. “There is an opportunity to grow the pipeline of brokers aged 18 to 29. We’re delighted to invest in a curated pathway for the next generation to connect, learn and grow.”

The convention includes a welcome event for first-timers the evening before the main program, when delegates can meet NIBA committee members.
On the Monday, previous young broker of the year winners will lead a Young Professionals Morning Masterclass designed to sharpen skills and spark conversation.
That night, an informal networking event offers a chance to connect industry leaders and peers.
There will be other breakout sessions offering professional development for young brokers, including advice on communicating value to clients and building a personal brand and reputation.
NIBA president Nick Cook says young professionals bring fresh thinking, curiosity and a willingness to challenge how things are done.
“That’s exactly what a profession needs to be future ready.
“The NIBA Convention is the flagship event in the broking calendar and a unique opportunity for emerging brokers to engage with the best of our profession.”
