QBE Foundation opens grants scheme
The QBE Foundation has invited charities and community organisations to apply for $50,000 grants to support climate resilience or inclusion initiatives.
Projects in Australia, New Zealand and parts of the Pacific can apply until March 16. Some grants will also be awarded based on QBE employee nominations.
“By supporting initiatives that enhance climate resilience and advance inclusion, we’re helping support positive change where it’s needed most,” QBE CFO and foundation co-chair Chris Esson said.
Climate resilience initiatives could include those targeting environmental regeneration, disaster preparedness and recovery.
Inclusion initiatives may address reconciliation, LGBTQI+ people and gender equality.
Organisations shortlisted from the expressions of interest submitted in the next four weeks will be invited to complete fuller applications. Grant recipients will be announced later this year.
There were 12 recipients last year from more than 300 applications.
