QPC appoints leader for in-house claims unit
Quantum Private Clients has promoted Rachel Meyer to be head of claims and operations, as it launches an in-house claims function for brokers and their high net worth clients.
The move is part of QPC’s next phase of growth as a specialist high net worth underwriting agency and recently appointed Lloyd’s coverholder.
MD Neil Shackleton says for high net worth clients, claims service “is not a back-office function, it is the moment where the insurance promise is delivered.
“Clients and brokers expect speed, empathy, discretion, technical expertise and personal ownership from people who understand the complexity of prestige homes, valuable contents, fine art, jewellery and prestige vehicles.
“Bringing claims in-house gives us greater control over that experience.”
Ms Meyer joined QPC in April last year as head of operations and has played a key role in strategic initiatives including the Lloyd’s coverholder approval and development of the claims function.
She previously held risk, compliance and assurance roles at Sedgwick and spent nearly two decades with Chubb, including 15 years as a senior specialist managing complex high net worth claims for Masterpiece clients, and later as regional claims quality assurance officer for Asia-Pacific.
“Rachel understands the private client space, claims at the highest technical level, and what brokers and clients expect from a specialist underwriting agency,” Mr Shackleton said.
QPC says further details on its claims function, broker communication protocols and future service initiatives will be announced soon.
