Steadfast broking boss departs

Tim Mathieson has left Steadfast to “pursue a new opportunity” after more than a decade with the broking group.

The executive joined the listed company in 2015 and became CEO of Australasian broking in May last year.

Last November, he was acting group CEO as Robert Kelly temporarily stood aside while a workplace complaint was investigated.

“Tim leaves ... after 11 years with Steadfast Group, during which time he has made a significant contribution to the growth and development of the group’s broking operations," a Steadfast spokesperson said.

“Steadfast thanks Tim for his leadership and contribution over the past decade.”

From 2021 to 2025, Mr Mathieson was CEO of Steadfast subsidiary QIB Group.

Before that, he spent several years at Elders and QBE, having started his career with the insurer as an intern in 1998.
