ICA returns to hail-hit town

The Insurance Council of Australia will revisit the NSW town of Harden near the first anniversary of a severe hailstorm.

More than 500 claims were filed after the storm on February 10 last year that damaged properties and businesses.

ICA will hold consultation sessions on February 17 and 18, allowing residents to discuss concerns and receive personalised advice on their claims.

This visit will be ICA’s third, following similar events last August and November.

“Insurers have been dedicated to assessing, repairing and completing outstanding claims, with some customers still in the recovery process,” ICA mitigation and extreme weather response director Liam Walter said.

“Anyone who feels they could benefit is encouraged to come along and speak directly with their insurer for individualised support.”

The sessions will be at the Harden Country Club from 10am-5pm. Register here.
