The Australian Insurance Law Association has opened applications for its annual young professional public speaking competition.

The contest is open to all insurance and insurance law professionals aged 35 and under, and entries will be accepted until July 31.

Applicants must choose an insurance-related topic to speak on. Thirty will be selected to take a free online Australian Institute of Management public speaking workshop on August 14, before the final shortlist is announced on September 2.

In October, three finalists will present on their chosen topics to judges and an audience of industry professionals. The winner will receive $5000. Second place will win $2000 and third place $1000.
