Ansvar calls for youth education grant applicants

Faith-based organisations insurer Ansvar is accepting applications for its Community Education Program grants until August 28.

The scheme provides up to $50,000 for initiatives designed to help disadvantaged Australians aged under 25.

Applicants under the empowerment and education category must help develop values that lead to healthy lifestyle choices and a positive contribution to community.

Grants are also offered under an outreach category, aimed at rehabilitation or skills training projects for youths at risk of difficulties such as drug and alcohol abuse.

Since starting in 1994, the program has contributed more than $15 million to help fund more than 300 charities and non-profit organisations.
