ANZIIF calls for NZ industry award nominations

Nominations are open for this year’s New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards, hosted by ANZIIF.

The awards, now in their 14th edition, will feature 12 categories, including a new prize for financial advice providers. Other sections recognise the work of individual brokers, broking companies, insurers, underwriters, insurtechs and other insurance professionals.

There is also an award for distinguished leadership by an insurance professional – which went to Suncorp NZ CEO Jimmy Higgins last year – and a lifetime achievement award.

This year, the institute has introduced an automated platform to streamline the submission process, after which nominees will be judged by a panel of industry professionals.

Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance CEO Katrina Shanks said: “The ANZIIF New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards celebrate the individuals and organisations strengthening our profession through innovation, professionalism and a deep commitment to supporting customers and communities.

“They champion the passion and progress that define our industry and recognise the achievements that build capability and inspire the next generation of insurance professionals.”

Submissions close on July 5, with finalists to be announced on September 8.

The awards ceremony will be on November 10 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre.
