ANZIIF hosts underwriting simulation
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance will host a two-part underwriting simulation for young professionals.
The Underwriting DNA Insurance Simulation, developed with Unicorn Simulations, involves a team-based activity that role-plays managing an underwriting portfolio and responding to market scenarios and conditions.
The program will be held across two three-hour sessions with Unicorn Simulations CEO Charlotte Phillips.
The institute says the program will let participants take on decision-making roles, giving them a deeper understanding of underwriting.
“Underwriting decisions carry real consequences, but in Underwriting DNA, you can test, refine and build confidence in a risk-free setting, developing judgment, resilience and commercial awareness.”
The program primarily targets early-career underwriters, but professionals in claims, broking and other areas of insurance are also encouraged to participate.
Sessions will be held over Zoom from 9am-noon on May 7 and May 14.
Early-bird tickets are available until April 17 here.
