ANZIIF opens Lloyd’s-backed scholarship
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance has opened applications for its Innovators Scholarship, developed with Lloyd’s Australia.
The program offers resources to support professional development, including up to $5000 towards an ANZIIF diploma and a one-year individual insider membership with Insurtech Australia.
The scholar will also receive free enrolment in the institute’s Lloyd’s Demystified course, which explores the history, structure and role of Lloyd’s and awards two CIP points.
And they will get to participate in a “day in the life” experience at Lloyd’s Sydney offices, which includes a mentorship opportunity with Insurtech Australia.
Applicants must submit a one-page proposal addressing climate resilience and extreme weather solutions or digital risks and AI-driven insurance innovations.
Last year, the scholarship went to Alexander Forbes client relations manager Ismail Balikoowa for a submission on parametric microinsurance in climate-vulnerable communities.
Submissions close on May 30, and the winner will be announced in August.
