Arch Insurance Australia has announced two promotions to its leadership team.

Australian claims manager Joe Donovan has become deputy regional manager. He will continue in the claims role and add responsibilities “to enhance product and service capability as well as operational efficiency”.

Mr Donovan has nearly 15 years’ claims experience, including roles at Zurich Australia and Chubb before joining Arch in 2017.  

He will be based in Melbourne and report to Arch regional manager Dominic Brannigan.

“[Mr Donovan’s] wealth of technical and market knowledge will be critical as we continue to deliver more impactful products and services and further enhance our reputation as a responsive partner to our brokers,” Mr Brannigan said.

Arch has also named Marita Elliott as underwriting operations and compliance head, reporting to Mr Donovan. She has been with the company since 2015.
