Dive In events channel ‘appetite for action’
The insurance industry’s festival of diversity and inclusion, Dive In, will be held worldwide this week with the theme Belonging Builds Tomorrow.
The event, now in its 11th year, attracted a record 45,000 attendees in 2024.
“The appetite for action is clear,” Dive In chair Jason Groves said. “Rethinking how we attract, retain and upskill talent has never been more urgent.
“More than ever, we need to draw talent from the widest possible pool of people and to make sure they have great careers once they get here.”
Local sessions begin tomorrow with Masking to Mastery, presented by Marsh McLennan and AIG, where the complexities of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder will be explored by health experts and Marsh wellbeing manager Ella Mansfield.
At Intergenerational Inclusion 2.0, Munich Re Australia CFO Diana Baer will guide a conversation highlighting the strengths of all generations.
On the panel are Insurance Council of Australia deputy CEO Kylie Macfarlane, Mercer Pacific MD Cynthia Cottrell, Clyde & Co partner Oscar Shub and University of Sydney lecturer Nate Zettna.
On Wednesday, Building High-Performing Teams Through Belonging will be presented by the National Insurance Brokers Association, Marsh McLennan and WTW, exploring how inclusive cultures can transform the way people work together.
“We’ll unpack the role of conscious leadership in setting the tone for inclusion, psychological safety and mutual respect, creating a space where every voice is heard, and every team member feels valued,” organisers said.
