The Lloyd’s Development Group has named Axa XL underwriter Taylor Trompp as chairman.

The volunteer-run group – offering education and networking opportunities for brokers, underwriters and claims professionals across Australia – also has a refreshed committee including Markus Mohr, Doron Grossman, Derek Habashy and recent study tour graduate Michael Kennedy.

It is working on an updated website, offering more educational opportunities and increasing its social media presence.

The group’s Insurers in Court: Mock Trial will be held at the Banco Court in Sydney on August 5.

It is an opportunity to see insurance professionals in the dock and follow a case through to conclusion.

The Sydney-based group is open to members from all parts of the industry, and they do not have to work at Lloyd’s-affiliated businesses.
