Cyber specialist Emergence Insurance says it has made leadership changes to drive its next stage of growth.

Operations manager Tim Barratt has been become COO, replacing Colin Pausey, who has been appointed general counsel.

Underwriting team leader Claudia Figueira will take the newly created head of SME role.

Emergence says Mr Barratt has been with the business since its earliest days, helping shape systems, processes and platforms, and Ms Figueira’s collaborative approach to leading and developing the SME underwriting team suits her new role.

“As Emergence continues to grow, we’re focused on putting the right leadership and structure in place to support the next stage of the business,” CEO Troy Filipcevic said.

“These appointments are an important part of that and ensure we’re well positioned to continue delivering for our brokers and policyholders.”
