GT recruits QBE manager as operations chief

Allianz subsidiary GT Insurance says Arron Mann, most recently QBE’s short-tail claims GM, has joined as COO.

“Arron brings a strong focus on operational excellence and a passion for simplifying processes and improving outcomes for our brokers and customers,” the transport and logistics specialist underwriting agency said in a LinkedIn post.

“His leadership will play an important role as we continue to evolve and strengthen our business.”

The appointment follows the recruitment last month of former PSC regional executive Paul McLean as chief commercial officer, after Nick Slessor became CEO late last year.

“GT’s customers are in safe hands,” Mr Slessor said in a message welcoming Mr Mann.

Mr Slessor told insuranceNEWS.com.au that Mr Mann will lead the agency’s “end-to-end service” proposition and “brings a genuine passion for innovation and will help shape the capabilities we need to keep evolving and setting ourselves up for the future.

“Just as importantly, Arron is a fantastic people leader who brings out the best in those around him and builds teams that care deeply about what they do.

“This is another step forward for GT as we continue to build strength and momentum for the future.”

GT has also appointed Yanna Walters as chief innovation and strategy officer.

“Yanna brings extensive experience across strategy, digital and customer experience, having led major transformation programs across global organisations in Australia and the US,” the company said on LinkedIn.

“Her expertise will play a key role as we continue to innovate, enhance customer and broker experiences, and drive our next phase of growth.”
