Last chance to attend Financial Counselling resilience forum
Registration is still open for Financial Counselling Victoria’s Community Disaster Resilience Summit on March 17.
The forum will feature representatives from financial counselling, government, insurers, banks, ombudsman bodies, telecommunications and community services.
The program includes a keynote presentation from University of NSW senior research fellow Kate Brady, who will explore how lessons from past disasters are being applied to inform long-term planning.
There will also be a series of panels and presentations on topics such as affordable insurance solutions, disaster recovery case studies and system reform.
One panel session will focus on cash settlements for vulnerable people following disasters, with Hollard customer advocate Annabelle Butler participating.
Registrations close on March 10. The summit is at Evoqe Events, 123 Queen Street in Melbourne, from 10am. Networking drinks will be held from 5pm-7pm.
