The Melbourne Marine Insurance Forum will hold its annual general meeting on August 12.  

The event will feature annual updates from Sedgwick marine head Margot De Villiers, who is forum president, and treasurer Trent De Villiers.  

There will also be a vote on new committee members, with all positions declared vacant. Nominations are open until August 10.  

Following the AGM, Captain Kevin Judkins will discuss his work on the salvage of the MV Rena, which ran aground in 2011, leading to New Zealand’s most expensive maritime disaster.  

The event is at Colin Biggers & Paisley’s Melbourne office from 2pm to 3pm.
