CHU Underwriting Agencies and MetLife feature in Diversity Council Australia’s Inclusive Employer Index for 2025-26.

The index recognises workplace commitments to diversity and inclusion, with organisations that exceed national benchmarks in at least five categories making the list. 

The categories in full are awareness, engagement, inclusive organisational climate, inclusive leadership, inclusive team, and exclusion. 

Organisations are rated via employee surveys, and those selected are recognised for a two-year period.  

MetLife has made the grade since 2021 and is the only life insurer in this year’s list.  

“This achievement validates the culture we have built around making sure our people feel accepted and supported, where we all feel we belong,” MetLife Australia CEO Richard Nunn said.  

“We believe we can’t take care of our customers without taking care of our people. They are the heart of our business, with our customers relying on them every day. 

“Inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a business imperative.”  

CHU has been recognised for a second time after making the index in 2023-24.
