Trucking industry recognises NTI executive
NTI EGM of commercial Mike Edmonds has won an award for outstanding contribution to the Australian trucking industry.
The Australian Trucking Association honour acknowledges a long-standing commitment to improving the industry.
Transport specialist underwriting agency NTI says Brisbane-based Mr Edmonds is “one of the most trusted voices across both trucking and insurance”.
“His contribution has often happened behind the scenes, but its impact has been significant,” NTI CEO Janelle Greene said.
“From safety programs and industry advocacy to mentoring, association partnerships and support for operators, Mike has consistently worked to help build a stronger, safer and more sustainable industry.”
Mr Edmonds, who has worked at NTI for 25 years, has had a career defined by care, practical insight and a “deep commitment to the people who keep Australia moving”, Ms Greene says.
Mr Edmonds, a former police officer, has driven safety initiatives and represented industry interests across government and the community.
He led the TruckSafe Program and played a key role in industry policy positions, and developed communication initiatives to lift the sector’s image.
He is also Underwriting Agencies Council chair.
The award was presented at an ATA conference on Hamilton Island earlier this month.
